The fight against screens

Have you ever wondered how much of your time is taken up by electronic gadgets, such as mobile phones and laptops? These items are now so widely used that we don’t realise how much time we can spend on them. It turns out that it’s more than we might think. A Canadian child spends an average of 7 hours and 48 minutes in front of the screen of a TV, tablet, computer, etc. These figures are alarming, they indicate that there is a growing generation of people who will have a completely sedentary lifestyle. This is not an optimistic vision.

Children overusing electronic gadgets have a lot of difficulty concentrating, they may be more likely to fall into depression and feel isolated from society (which is not surprising, since the only contact they have with their peers is during lessons at school) and have a tendency to obesity. In addition – such a frequent use of electronic devices causes that children are much less creative and do not have any time for creative development. Not to mention any physical activity.

To prevent the situation deteriorating, you can only do one thing - get involved in the life of your child. Start actively spending time together with your child by playing or exercising together. This will not only deepen the bond between you, but will also protect your child against the negative consequences of excess screen exposure in their life.
